(SAP ABAP): Custom Development Team
The Solution Execution team within SAP Custom Development is chartered with executing custom development projects and related services, where success is measured by effectively leveraging our ability to deliver those projects on-time, on-budget and with superior quality. As part of the Solution Execution team, you will be responsible for high level business process and requirements analysis, architecting solutions utilizing appropriate technologies across various SAP components and application areas, creating solution definitions, functional specifications and design documents as required, overseeing development, support and training with all documentation, together with testing, production and go-live aspects according to the SAP Custom Development methodology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical specifications and designs for medium to high complexity issues independently
Complete development activities such as coding, testing, documentation and maintenance support for SAP Custom Development solutions
Conduct specification, design and code reviews of own and dependent modules and interfaces
Be the single point of contact for resolution of all technical and functional issues in the project
Provide high quality of message resolution adhering to the Service Level Agreements
Handle the customer requirements independently in the given function
• Co-ordinate and ensure delivery of tasks from the assigned sub-team
• Communicate project status according to project communication plan
• Analyze the impact of any new requirements on the existing solution
• Escalate issues well in advance and suggest alternative approaches
• Review project planning by providing and reviewing estimations for own tasks
• Support and influence team activities positively
• Be flexible in taking up different tasks in the project
• Enhance skills and competencies by adhering to the development plan
• Work closely with other custom development team members, external partners and customer teams to ensure successful project completion
EDUCATION
B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA (Regular only) with an aggregate score of 60% or above from IIT / NIT / any Premium Institute
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
5-10 years of ABAP development experience
Proficiency in ABAP Technologies - ABAP Workbench, ABAP Data Dictionary, Report Programming, Data Migration, Screen Programming, Smartforms, Authorizations, ALE/IDOC, Workflow, Performance Tuning, Webdynpro ABAP, OO ABAP, Database Updates, Enhancements & Modifications
• Functional expertise of business processes, master data, transactions & configuration knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
o SCM – APO, EWM
o SD, MM, FI, CO, PP, PM, PS, WM
o HCM
o CRM
o PLM
• Industry Specific:
o IS-Utilities
o IS-Media
o IS-Retail
o IS-Oil
o IS-Insurance
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in leading sub-teams of developers and delivering successful results
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication
• Flexibility when working with colleagues of different cultural background
Experience:
5-10 years of experience in the IT industry
